About the Department

The department offers the following programs:

• B. Tech. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 30 intake
• M. Tech in Electrical Power Systems with 6 intake

M. Tech (Electrical Power Systems)

The Department offers two-year full-time M.Tech program in Electrical Power Systems, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). With a select intake of six candidates admitted through national-level examinations such as GATE or TS PGECET.

To further enhance student engagement and industry readiness, the Department Activity Association Committee (DAAC) ELECSPIRE plays a pivotal role in organizing a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. DAAC facilitates industrial visits, technical workshops, guest lectures by industry experts, and student development programs that connect theory with practical application. Students of the department actively participate in technical events, innovation challenges, and certification courses through platforms like NPTEL /SWAYAM. The department maintains strong links with industry, resulting in effective internship and placement opportunities. Graduates are consistently placed in reputed core electrical companies as well as top IT firms, reflecting the versatility and quality of academic training.
